Ah Haa School for the Arts is a community center of learning and culture that offers a wide variety of programs and seeks to inspire individuals of all ages to explore, develop and celebrate their creativity. Located inside of a turn-of-the-century train depot, a beautiful building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ah Haa's goal is to keep this historic building looking and functioning at its best, while also minimizing its carbon footprint. In addition to basic reduce, reuse, and recycle measures taken throughout the building, Ahh Haa has been focused on winterizing the space by maximizing furnace efficiency and sealing all drafty doors and windows. They also received a grant to help replace and upgrade all lighting in the building with energy efficient bulbs, tracks and fixtures.

Luminosity uses sustainable design and is LEED Accredited with 5 LEED projects nationally and abroad. They have partnered with Habitat for Humanity, The Mountain Volunteer, where they were able to complete two projects in Nepal that focused on providing daylight in classrooms and electric light for adult night classes. Luminosity has taken their sustainable commitment one step further and purchases carbon offsets for all their work related travel.

San Miguel Power Association (SMPA) is the region's member-owned, locally controlled electric power cooperative providing safe, reliable and responsible electric service to approximately 10,000 members with 13,500 meters covering a region of approximately 3,600 square miles in Western Colorado. As a cooperative, SMPA strives to support the quality of life in our communities through our core business of electric service as well as innovative ideas and programs surrounding economic development and environmental forward thinking. SMPA is proud to join the growing list of certified green businesses in our region with the certification of our Ridgway facility. Efforts are underway to also certify SMPA's Nucla, CO office.
Telluride Historical Museum was established in 1965 and has operated within one of Telluride's first public buildings, the 1896 historic landmark miner's hospital building. The mission of the Telluride Historical Museum is to preserve the rich, colorful, and diverse history of the region and to bring history of life through exhibits, programs, and education. His business focus is on marketing energy efficient, sustainable homes in the region and promoting smart eco-friendly lifestyles. He is excited to work in partnership with EcoAction Partners to encourage sustainable living practices in our community.
Wilkinson Public Library, its staff and trustees have made a strong commitment to sustainability. Their role as a strong community leader drives them not only to implement green initiatives on site, but to provide education to the community that supports home, business, nonprofit, and local government efforts to reduce negative impacts on the environment. At the library, the staff participates on a Green Team that monitors utility use and brainstorms ways to "green up" library operations. They have implemented many changes that have greatly reduced our carbon footprint including the installation of a 10,000 Watt photovoltaic solar electric system that provides 6% of the library's electricity.
