Educational Opportunities

There are many different classes/workshops/community gatherings where one can learn everything from tips for high altitude gardening, making compost, or even becoming a Colorado Master Gardener. This page provides some basic information on classes available, but there’s always more out there!

  • The Colorado State University Extension Office located in Norwood, Colorado offers a myriad of programs including the Colorado State Master Gardener, Native Plant Master, Opportunities through 4-H clubs, along with a number of different workshops throughout the year.   • Permaculture Design Certificate – Every summer EcoAction Partners partners with University Centers of San Miguel in order to offer a two week intensive style learning Permaculture Design Certificate Class. Run in partnership with the Southwest Institute for Resilience it is an opportunity to learn about the principals of permaculture in this high desert region.
