Have you always wondered about how to reduce your impact on the planet, but didn’t know how to make it happen? Would you like to be more involved with local sustainability initiatives? Learn to “Walk the Talk” and take action this summer with EcoAction Partners!
Through our series of four workshops taking place during July and August, you’ll learn to grow your own veggies and herbs, compost food waste, fix a bicycle, and retrofit your home! These activities will engage you with locals who “walk the talk” every day, and can share their wealth of knowledge with you. By the end of the workshops, you – the individual – will be empowered to make a big difference in your energy consumption through the small lifestyle changes we’ll teach you.
After every workshop, we will pose a specific challenge relating to your new skills to take home and implement in the weeks following. EcoAction Partners and our workshop leaders will help get you started, and we’ll keep tabs on your progress to help adopt these skills into your everyday life. Walk the Talk will also involve a bit of friendly competition and some cool prizes! Reduce your carbon footprint, learn some simple skills, and connect with fellow community members along the way!
Through Walk the Talk, you’ll find that small changes in your daily habits not only help the planet, but are also fun and rewarding and help engage you with the Telluride and greater San Juan community. To cover the materials used in the program, each participant will pay a $30 fee when they sign up; the workshop schedule is below!
