Large Items
Large items are tough to recycle in this region – BUT – IT CAN BE DONE!
For usable items in good conditions – consider joining the Telluride Freecycle group! This is an online group where you can post both requests for items you might need and items you have that you are willing to give away. Click here to join Telluride Freecycle. This service was developed by folks with the goal of keeping items out of the landfill. So everything must be FREE.
And if you are patient you can hold onto large items and bring them to the annual Spring Clean up that happens in mid-May.
And don’t forget that if it is electronics you are looking to recycle you can take care of those during our annual Fall Clean Up in late September/ early October.
