Spring Clean-Up occurs every year in mid-May. The Town of Telluride sponsors this event, in which folks from the area can bring their items to Black Bear Rd. for disposal. There is also a “free box” area for discarded but usable items.
San Miguel County is the sponsor for half a day of Hazardous Materials disposal, which is set up behind the high school.
For electronics recycling, items can be taken to the SMARTS Park in Illium, where they are responsibly recycled. There is a fee for this service, so check with SMARTS Park for costs and hours. They can be reached at 970-728-0134 for more information.
