EcoAction Partners in partnership with Clean Energy Collective (CEC) and San Miguel Power Association (SMPA) will be hosting GREENDRINKS on May 20, 2015 that will promote local programs including EcoAction Partners’ GREENLIGHTS LED Light Bulb Program, SMPA’s rebate programs, and SMPA Community Solar, powered by Clean Energy Collective. The GREENDRINKS event will be held at Arroyo Wine Bar in Telluride (220 E Colorado Ave.) from 4:30 – 6:30pm. Food and beverages will be provided.
The purpose of this event will promote and celebrate local renewable energy and energy efficiency programs. GREENLIGHTS is a rebate program administered by EcoAction Partners and sponsored by SMPA, San Miguel County, and the Town of Telluride. This program allows San Miguel County and Town of Telluride residents and businesses the opportunity to purchase LED light bulbs at an extremely discounted rate of up to 75% off through the program’s partner and supplier, Ace Hardware. The GREENLIGHTS program’s mission is to encourage San Miguel County and Town of Telluride residents and businesses to switch over to LED light bulbs to save money, reduce energy use and ultimately help the environment.
The event will also promote SMPA’s rebate programs that include rebates for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy installations. There are a number of rebate programs available to help members pay the initial costs to reduce energy consumption by their home or business.
Finally, we will be celebrating the successful sale of the entire SMPA community solar array to SMPA members. This program offered businesses, homeowners and tenants the opportunity to own clean solar power to offset their energy consumption by purchasing a panel or multiple panels in the community solar array located in Paradox Valley. A representative from Clean Energy Collective will be on hand to share information about the project and join in our celebration.
Local community residents and businesses are encouraged to attend GREENDRINKS to learn more about local efforts focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy and to celebrate local achievements.
