Saving Snow - Telluride Screening

  • Wilkinson Public Library 100 West Pacific Avenue Telluride, CO, 81320 United States (map)

Concerned about the lack of snow in Telluride this winter? Join us for a screening of Saving Snow, a feature documentary on how ski towns are coping with warmer winters. It examines the impacts of climate change on the winter economy and inspires communities to take action on mitigation and adaptation efforts. There will be a Q&A with a panel of local experts after the film to create conversation about actions the Telluride community can take to build resilience in the face of warmer winters.

Across the country, people who depend on winter for their livelihood are feeling the heat. On the sidelines of skiing and snowboarding, an epic struggle to reverse rising temperatures is unfolding. Ski towns and the snow sports industry are paving the way towards a clean energy future

Join us Thursday, March 1st at Wilkinson Public Library in Telluride.
