Event Description: This month's coffee & climate conversation topic will be Ecofeminism (hearing the cries of the Earth). We will be joined by Regina Lopez-Whiteskunk. Regina is a member of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe of Towaoc. She is among the Women of Bears Ears, a group of Indigenous women who seek to restore Indigenous women's matrilineal roles as decision-makers, culture bearers, and nurturers of our shared ancestral lands, and of future generations. She braids this work of rematriation into her work in conservation as the Cross-Cultural Programs Director for Montezuma Land Conservancy where she has been collaborating with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe with the Traditional Harvest Project as well as partnering with other organizations to bring forth the efforts in a culturally relevant way.
