Cold Climate Air Source heat Pumps

Why is SMPA INCENTIVIZING heat pumps?

EcoAction Partners, SMPA, and Tri-State are promoting Beneficial Electrification, which is the idea of switching fossil fuel-powered equipment to electrical power, while at the same time cleaning up the energy from the grid.

This includes converting home and commercial heating from propane and natural gas to cold climate Air Source Heat Pumps (ccASHP).

Save money in new construction by avoiding natural gas tap fees, excavation, and installation costs of gas lines. Improve safety by eliminating sources of Carbon Monoxide and the danger of gas leaks. Add solar and battery backup to make your building energy independent, no more power outages or surges that damage electronics.
