Community Resilience Hub Ribbon Cutting

  • EcoAction Partners Telluride, CO, 81435 (map)

Join the Town of Ridgway and San Miguel Power Association (SMPA) on Friday, September 5th at 5:30 PM for the ribbon cutting of Ridgway’s first Microgrid for Community Resilience. The new solar & battery system powers the Space to Create Decker Room, transforming it into a Resilience Hub where residents can gather during outages to stay warm, charge devices, and stay connected. This project was made possible through funding from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), with SMPA securing up to $46,900 in funding on behalf of the town, and installed by Alternative Power Enterprise. This ribbon cutting celebrates an innovative step toward local energy resilience!

The event will have free food, drinks, kids activities and a screening of POW film Downstream- we hope you join us for this family fun event!
