Eligibility depends on available funding sources, this year Funding is designated for residents or businesses in Telluride and San Miguel County.
Some communities have been eligible in the past (such as San Juan County) but are not eligible in 2026. However, we continue to seek funding for green grants across the region and hope to offer this opportunity again in the future. text goes here

SMC and Town of Telluride TEMP/REMP funds

Funds are available for reimbursement in 2027, projects cannot be started before 1/1/27.
Grants funds are reimbursed after a project is completed and a final report is submitted. Reimbursement is typically provided via check and a W-9. Please reach out if you have concerns about this process.

Projects can take place after a funding agreement has been signed in January 2027 and must be completed between January 1st, 2027 and November 1st, 2027
Projects completed in 2026 are not eligible

Because grant awardees submit a W-9, funds received are counted as income and included in your taxes. If you have concerns about this please reach out to EcoAction staff.

Projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions within participating communities. This includes reducing energy use in buildings, adding renewable energy to a building, composting or growing food locally.

A selection committee made up of community members and a government staff representative determine how finite funds are awarded.

Yes, applicants can apply multiple times if they live in a participating community.
