Siobhan Montoya Lavender, Regional Climate Action Development Director

Siobhan Montoya Lavender is a carbon dioxide removal expert with extensive experience in climate and sustainability. After six years managing environmental monitoring and compliance projects for major utilities, she shifted her focus to carbon removal and co-founded Thanks a Ton. She holds a master's degree from San Francisco State University, where she studied microclimatology and atmospheric carbon fluxes. A recurring co-host on the Reversing Climate Change podcast, she co-founded Women+ AirMiners and serves on the AirMiners Environmental Justice committee. Siobhan recently returned to San Miguel County, where her family has lived for five generations as miners, ranchers, teachers, and explorers of our amazing mountain ranges.
