What is an Ev readiness plan?
The Regional EV Readiness Plan assesses the current state of EV infrastructure across all three counties, provides site recommendations for each community within its jurisdiction, and identifies implementation actions to support EVs and its charging infrastructure on a regional basis.

This readiness plan will support the Colorado Electric Vehicle plan of 2020 establishing a target of 940,000 EVs by 2030, as well as supporting numerous local, state, and federal climate action plans in preparing for and implementing actions that support increased use of plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) throughout the region. The plan is focused on supporting current and future adoption of EVs, including on-road personal and fleet vehicles, and establishing action items to install necessary regionwide EV infrastructure."
EV Infrastructure
This map is a snapshot in time of the EV charging infrastructure across our three county region in early 2024. Yellow icons represent existing EV chargers, while blue icons represent potential locations for new EV infrastructure. San Miguel County has 15 existing charging stations, while Ouray County has 6 existing charging stations and San Juan County has 2. Some of these locations will be reserved for government or private use, while others will be public chargers. The majority of these locations will host level 2 chargers, although some locations are being evaluated for their potential as DCFC/Level 3 chargers.
